Why is American Anti-Semitism on the Rise?

Because of AIPAC, unquestioning Pro-Israel sentiments and certain obnoxious American Jews, all contribute to a major part of the problem.

A friend of mine sent me an article from the Boston Globe, written by Steven R.Rosenberg [June 2,2016] delineating an interesting phenomena in the tony communities of Boston proper. It appears that in Newton and other upscale communities around the Boston/Cambridge environ; the incidents of anti-Semitic acts has risen in the last years. Most of the law-abiding citizens were completely aghast when they encountered over 60 episodes of swastikas and slanderous words chalked over the school buildings.

Clearly,I don’t condone such actions.

Yet,I have been waiting for this uptick in worldwide anti-Semitism for some time now. Having been born in a primarily Catholic country, Cuba; as well as, growing up with Latin-speaking-priests in Toulouse, France, I received a healthy dose of pre-pubescent anti-Semitism. Next,moving into New York’s Harlem, I knew the words,“kike” and ‘honky’ way before I understood how to read, The Jungle Book.

Later on in my professional career, I encountered anti-Semitism at Cornell University when I was informed that one particular fraternity wanted to rush me. Unfortunately, I was not a viable candidate because I was Jewish. So,I joined one of three Jewish fraternities. At Cornell University Medical College [New York Hospital], I encountered both anti-Semitism and anti-Catholicism [my Polish last name could be quite confusing]. Not until my graduate education at both Harvard Medical College and MIT did I feel that the burden of this ancient stigmata became, at best, irrelevant; if not, completely absurd.

I worked for a short while for Nixon who was considered anti-Semitic. In fact, he had the greatest numbers of Jews surrounding him and Henry Kissinger; and he was unduly kind to me when he left office. Similarly, James Baker and George Bush Sr. along with the former gracious Admiral Elmo Zumwalt, had to reprimand the Cuban born, NH Governor John Sununu, for his outlandish anti-Semitic comments that he had made during the Bush Sr. presidential race in 1988. 

“Jews” were always a stand-out group of people who could be derided and deprecated.

That truth is not easy to accept.

As long as the Jews have considered themselves to be ‘the chosen people’, a solipsism of theological logic that still mystifies me to this day, some five thousand years later there will always be a ‘chosen people to pick upon’.

Yet, there are major mitigating circumstances to this supposed unforeseen increase in anti-Semitism.The American Jew has been spoiled and they have no idea of what real anti-Semitism feels, looks and sounds like.They have a highly distorted notion of anti-Semitism propagated by AIPAC, Neo-Conservative Jews, and Israel’s propaganda machinery.

Never in the history of a country like America, where you can be whatever you want, have so many self-avowed Jews been so destructive to the welfare of this great nation of immigrants.Let us enumerate the ways American Jews have brought upon themselves this barrage of anti-Semitism:

1) unrestrained pro-Israeli pressure from ersatz lobbying  groups like AIPAC which act more like an extension of Israeli intelligence. AIPAC strong-arms the House of Representatives; the Senate; the US military; and the US Intelligence Community (primarily of Protestants/Catholics).

2) anyone who does not follow the contrived dictates of AIPAC is labeled as ‘anti-Semitic’ or ‘anti-Israel’.

3) 9/11 Stand Down/False Flag initiated by the Bush/Cheney administration involved David Wurmser, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Rabbi Dov Zuckheim, Doug Feith, Sandy Berger, Dennis Ross, Michael Chertoff et.al—all Jews whose allegiance to America is highly questionable, if not downright treasonous. Of course there will always be the token Afghani Muslim—Zalmay Khalizad.

4) Muslims [Saudi Arabians, Pakistanis]  were blamed for 9/11 when in fact Mossad operatives were highly crucial to the preparation for the internal demolition of the Twin Towers and Building 7. 

5) Israel uses the contrived Holocaust Narrative to manipulate the world into feeling guilty for actions that they [Ben Gurion,Jewish Committee] helped to inspire—the Judenrats [Germany,Poland]; Moroccan anti-Sepharidic uprisings—as well as the fact that they [Israeli] had no desire to save one Jewish Camp survivor during WWII [they preferred to receive 300 cows]. Both sides of my family were exterminated, BUT the number of six million Jews is both a gross exaggeration and a travesty of Judaic teachings. 

6) we have the loudmouth American “chicken hawks” like Bill Kristol [neocon]; so-called Prof. Alan Dershowitz; Sheldon Adelson [Casino-crook]; flasher Anthony Weiner; Elliot Spitzer;  et.al.

7) Not to be forgotten, is Bibi Netanyahu, a complete American fabrication along with his entourage of ex-patriates serving as senior officials in the Israeli government.

For every person I have listed above, there are others who have had accomplished much greater achievements with very little notoriety [see List of Israeli Americans in Wikipedia].

My point is simple.

Anti-Semitism has been around for centuries—rightfully or wrongfully. No psychiatrist, Rabbi, Priest or President can wish it, explain it, or educate it away. It’s part and parcel of the fabric of a Judeo/Christian world that arose from narratives which have foundations not in reason-- but in faith and the need to believe.

Similarly, prejudice against Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostics, and any other forms of belief is inherent in the human condition. It’s part of a complex society riddled with  diversities of gender, religion, ethnicity, economy,  psychology, etc.

It is time for the American Jew as well as the leaders of Israel to keep their collective mouths shut because you all sound increasingly obnoxious and inappropriate. Unlike Anthony Weiner and his recently released documentary, we, Jews, do not have to fixate on our merits, shortfalls or anything else.Just accept the fact that you are an American who happens to be Jewish [about 70% feel that way].

We, the Diaspora/Holocaust Jews, paid the price for establishing the State of Israel as a haven for Jews. We did not pay the inordinate moral/emotional expense for the gratuitous torture and denigration of an innocent people like the Palestinians—ironically, considered as the “Jews of the Middle East”.

Our Killer Elite on Multiple Deployments

The past fifteen years has seen the evolution of a new type of military warrior—an Army Ranger/Marine with five deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In a NYTimes article by Benedict Carey [May 29,2016]:

“The idea that these elite fighters can adapt solely by addressing emotional trauma, some experts said, is badly misplaced. Their primary difficulty is that they thrived in combat. It’s rather a matter of unlearning the very skills that kept them alive: unceasing vigilance; snap decision making; intolerance of carelessness; the urge to act fast and decisively.”

Unlike our recent spate of insolent U.S. Navy Admirals whose primary occupation at sea were to hustle as much money, prostitutes, and payola from the private sector, these elite Army Rangers/Marines perform brilliantly while in combat and commit suicide while in civilian life.

In fact, when they return to civilian life they have a very hard time not acting hyper-vigilant and meditative; worrying about whether they should or should not react in a NY minute ---irrespective of the surrounding situations.Now we see these 90,000 soldiers/marines who have been deployed 4/5 times overseas as new type of warrior, who find ordinary life intensely boring and unworthy of their acquired talents.I can empathize with these men.

No amount of psychotherapy or drugs could tame the savage beast within me that could not tolerate bureaucratic discussions; nor allow for the tiniest errors,nor poor judgements that surrounded my civilian State Dept.job. In part,the sadistic training I received as a medical student,intern, then resident,demanding the greatest amount of precision in the shortest amount of time, prepared me well for my overseas assignments. Such missions required split second timing and accountability for completion of the task and as such allowed me to flourish in distant lands with a ‘natural killer’s instinct’.

However, when I had to come back to civilian life, I found it highly disturbing. It was replete with the unbearable sounds of boredom and enveloping ineptness. In part, I buried myself in my writing of novels as a way to dull the acuity of my heightened existence for survival. My self-therapy prevented me from using my lethal skills against an ordinary person making ordinary mistakes.

Unfortunately, neither the Pentagon nor the VA system has any idea of how to decondition those types of warriors like myself who had multiple tours of duties overseas in different conflicts. The article points out the key characteristics of those people: “who excel in combat or international crises.…  they tend to be assertive, active, and excitement-seeking, and enthusiastic.”

The article continues to define a very disturbing characteristic: “I hate to use the cliché, but these guys who love to be at the TIP OF THE SPEAR, said a psychologist…..It’s more than the camaraderie; there’s a need to protect life directly…. And if necessary…. to take life”

The lesson of war is very simple: It’s Hell!

Yet going into hell on multiple occasions, makes one inured to the horrors of mayhem; as well as completely indifferent to the blood and guts that inevitably spew forth from the intense kinetic action. Unlike the ordinary human being or 85% of the one-tour soldiers, one becomes a virtual vampire feeding off the carrion of destruction for sustenance. This blog is a warning to those civilians [POTUS, Presidential Candidates] who have sent our elite troops to war not once, not twice—but four to five times.
The security of our nation relies on these warriors who have been trained to react in split seconds… for good or for bad.The Dogs of War are not the mercenaries who get paid for their profession. They are the newly conditioned men who have been deployed 4/5 times to the Middle East, Africa, or Asia. They have tough time coming back to civilian life in America.

Beware America!
Wars have become a part of our military/industrial output which sacrifices thousands of brave warriors for billions in worthless paper money.

Senior Republican Official, Fred Malek “The Thug”  Reprimands Trump for Not Being Cordial or Inclusive!

I have witnessed absurdity repeated several fold in many types of political contests. However, Fred Malek, a true Republican “thug” whom I knew about in the Nixon and other Republican Administrations proves the axiom that “he who excuses himself, accuses himself”.

Malek, the son of a beer truck driver, has always prided himself on ‘efficiency’, ‘trustworthiness’ and ‘machismo’. He was trained at West Point and went on to become a ‘successful business man’. 

Of course, his success lay in political cronyism, typical of Mitt Romney and others who could never create a start-up company and instead acquired hotel properties which were a testimony to his loyalty to the Marriott family. Presently, he is considered a ‘kingmaker’ in the Republican Party, having served Bush Sr, Bush Jr, and John McCain.

Yet, his real background is replete with anti-Semitism, crony capitalism, and absolute fiction. Like many mainstream Republicans whose narratives belie a core value of decency and entrepreneurship, Malek has spent his life trying to elevate himself from a Croatian thug to an outstanding American philanthropist.In my eyes and in that of many others who know his reputation for self-aggrandizement, minus intellectual forte, Malek is nothing but a hired-gun for the Republican establishment, writ large in the personae of the phlegmatic Paul Ryan and the Vietnam War traitor, John McCain.

In his reprimand of Trump for his so-called ‘obnoxious behavior’ [Wash.Post, May 31]  Malek  congratulates himself and Manafort [his deputy at the time] for having been responsible for erasing the fifteen point lead that Michael Dukakis had over Bush Sr. in the 1988 Presidential Race.

Nonsense!
If anyone was responsible for that amazing coup de grace it was James Baker and Roger Ailes. Malek did not have the intellectual gravitas to develop the proper strategy. Nevertheless, Malek serves time and time again as the ‘enforcer’ for the cowardly mainstream Republican Party. The GOP that has done nothing for the American citizenry.

It is the will of those of us who have supported Trump from the very beginning that he,Trump, acts and responds according to his own highly developed instincts. The American people, be they right or wrong,wants someone who will challenge the status quo and ways of the mainstream Republicans. 

Malek is neither a policy maven nor effective implementer. He has all the attributes of an egregious, self-serving ‘hit man,’ who has neither the talent nor ability to create out-of-the-box initiatives. He is primarily an illiterate, unintelligible thug who is told what he must do and implements it accordingly—often, very poorly.

Malek is the ‘enforcer’ for those who are too afraid to confront Trump on his own terms.These are the same people [McCain, Graham, Romney] who gave us the endless wars; as well as, the endless defeats marked by the relentless suicides of our brave warriors deployed five times to Iraq/Afghanistan and elsewhere.

Malek is the face, mouth, and proboscis of the dying elephant. Malek is the Jimmy Hoffa of a malignant union called the Republican Party that cannot and will not unite around Trump, nor ever be able to bring prosperity to our citizens.

Good riddance, Malek!
