King Norodom Sihanouk: Butcher of Cambodia Dies; NY Times Obituary Fanciful Distortion of His ’Killing Machine’.

Today on October 15, 2012 -I read in the NY Times Obituary that King Sihanouk died.  I had known him both personally and professionally.  In 1991,   I was brought back from my private professional world to work specifically on developing  a peace treaty for a war-torn  country ravaged by the Khmer Rouge, the Vietnamese, France, China, and the US.  My expertise was in strategy, tactics, intelligence and development of the foundation for an international treaty.  The other successful treaty that I had worked on was the 1979 Israel-Egypt Camp David Peace Treaty which President Jimmy Carter had personally managed.
I was specifically brought in by Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific, Dr Richard Solomon.  For two years, I worked on disarming the Khmer Rouge, and trying to create a viable government with King Sihanouk.  I helped develop the UN mechanism by which the final treaty was created under UN auspicesHOWEVER,  it was not the UN that created the Treaty- it was Dr Richard Solomon and the U.S. State Department with a little help from me and from a formidable Foreign Service Officer named Charles H. Twining, a proficient French and Khmer speaker.  Together, we spent endless hours flying between Thailand, Cambodia,  and Paris. More often than not, our CIA and intelligence communities were at best faulty and as usual totally ineffective.  At the time, I dismissed both the Station Chief in Paris and Thailand as  ‘incompetent’ and ‘ignorant’.  Why do I say this?
It is important to understand how poorly our country has been served by our C IA and other intel agencies.  My good fortune was in going into the Jungles of both Thailand and Cambodia , I was able to talk in my native dialect of (Toulouse) French to several of the Anti Communist troop leaders and find out the truth of the situation on the ground and that it had been completely distorted and falsely reported by our CIA.
In turn,  I created by own intelligence organization  consisting primarily of field military intel officers from the US , Australia, France, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, and Cambodia as well other countries.
As a result,   I was able to utilize the Perm Five Council of the UN –consisting of France, England, China, Russia, Britain, and the US to accomplish what needed to get done.  The psychological techniques I used are outlined in my novel “Active Pursuit”What I had to do was quite drastic but necessary.  Suffice to say, that my ‘skills’ as ‘professional regime changer’ were well applied.
Why do I tell you all this right now? Because I just read the most ludicrous obituary about any ‘killer’ with whom I had to work for two unbearable years.  Sihanouk was not ‘cunning’ nor ‘charming’ nor ‘mercurial’,  he was a Sick Killer.  Sick—in the sense that he had bipolar illness that no one, especially the French who had supported him,  ever recognized nor treated.  Sihanouk died a ‘killer’ and ‘abettor’ of Pol Pot and his ruthless Khmer Rouge-assisting them in the first auto-genocide [killing of your own people] in the 2Oth century.  Not only did both NYT’s writers incorrectly describe this ‘monster’ who was pathetic and dysfunctional in all manners both personal and professional but they spun a fairytale that made it sound as if this ‘killer’ was simply a ‘manipulator’ of superpowers and had a ‘talent to align himself’ accordingly.
They don’t describe Sihanouk’s   three hour tirade at the Kleber Center in Paris,  where he gave an incredible rant to twenty two nations about the importance of “Genocide” and how every country in the room had committed ‘necessary genocide’
These two NYT  journalists,  Elizabeth Becker and Seth Mydans,  both self-proclaimed ‘asia experts’ had no knowledge how Sec State Baker and I agreed to put HunSen—Ex Khmer Rouge , proVietnamese Leader into power in Cambodia - meanwhile , we would place King Sihanouks’ obnoxious, arrogant , incompetent , Francophile son, into a transitional power base.
So once again, a major murderer of the 20th century, easily equivalent in my experience to Mao [millions killed in the Cultural Revolution],  Stalin [ forty million killed ], etc. gets away with a fluff piece from the NY Times’.
Most of you are probably are not surprised that the NY Times has once again failed as they did under the ersatz leadership of the wanting writer Bill Keller, to report on the 9/11 truthfully.
Sadly,  I have met and talked to Elizabeth Becker. And I can honestly say that I had never met a more ignorant, disingenuous, manipulative reporter who had been easily ‘worked’ by me and my operatives (about whom she had complained).  Becker has no credence by historical or journalistic standards.   She is a ‘lackey- ingratiating herself with historical figures’.  She has no capability, no understanding ,  nor motivation to probe for the truth.
As for Seth Mydans, his name appeared to me on several different occasions.  One, he attended Andover Prep School,  a year behind my brother, a famous biochemistry professor,  and in the same class with George Bush Jr.  He has a checkered career in both Vietnam and around the world.  In my role as Counter Intelligence Operative,  I would bet my career that he was and is CIA or some close affiliation to that group.  All you have to, my dear reader, is to look his name up in Wikipedia and you will find nothing about him. Ergo—Bad Cover, Poor reporting.
Anyway,  another tyrant has died and those who brought him to power are still free of blame.  Let me be more specific. …the French created this imbecilea playboy  with no capacity to do anything other than procreate and at that,  given the nature of his consort  “Queen Monique”, une putan, was singularly unimpressive.  The French allowed King Sihanouk and his henchmen to run a bordello in France which he could not even run effectively with his ‘Queen’.  Then we have President Nixon and my former boss, Henry Kissinger, [whom I personally and professionally detested but that’s another blog for another time] to illegally bomb a ‘neutral’Cambodia.  Then we have People’s Republic of China which consistently encouraged him and Pol Pot to engage in their mass murder machine.  Of course, China will soon find it’s own retribution when the PLA  attempts another military coup against the Central Committee.  Then we have Thailand which in their inevitable disgusting  way , protected Pol Pot and his mercenaries, all the  time denying that he was protected on their soil.
History has no memory or desire for accuracy.  It’s merely a narrative concocted by (in this case) two inadequate writers,  perhaps manque novelists,  but it is NOT the experience of this American who soon left State Department  after the1991 Peace Conference On Cambodia Treaty was signed.
This treaty owes more not to the fanciful tales of  faux journalism but to the incredible professionalism of the Charles H. Twinings of this world.  The last time I saw him was in a bookstore.
It’s to him that the honesty of this blog is dedicated and to those other FSO’s and US diplomats who for once and for all have to be recognized for their ‘silent miracles’.

Vive Le Coq!
Strauss –Kahn Says Sex Parties Over The Top,  But Lust IS No Crime!
After having written a few blogs that reflected negatively on France, I decided to write a piece that can reflect positively on French culture.  In this particular case, it involves the ostensible ‘reform’ and ‘confessions of the sexaholic’,  Dominque Strauss –Kahn,  the  former disgraced Director of the International Monetary Fund.
DSK is a symbol of what the French have called, “Libertinage”. This Libertine view of life dates back to about the Sixteenth Century in France where powerful entourages of elite members of society—lawyers, doctors, judges, clergymen, police officials, musicians and others would begin an evening soiree with a exquisitely prepared dinner and culminate the evening with an obligatory orgy.  This sounds quite perverse and debauched, but bear in mind this ‘libertinage’ was a very clever and practical way of making certain that secrecy and mutual assured silence  were the fabric of a political institution, if not the French Republic itself.
The case in point involves one particular character in French history about whom I wrote a fictional novel called, “My Beloved Talleyrand: The Life of A Scoundrel By His Last Mistress” [soon to be an E-Book on Amazon and Barnes &Noble].
The Libertine  whom I wrote about was  an aristocratic Bishop , Charles –Maurice de Talleyrand- Perigord, who had renounced the Catholic Church; supported and then overthrew King Louis XVI; encouraged and then denounced the leaders of the French Revolution; and finally helped create Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and then sent him into exile.
In a world where the salons of Paris and the mistresses of French kings were the gateway to elite power, Talleyrand mastered the finesse of seduction, betrayed all of his numerous mistresses, and eventually turned against both King and Emperor in order to one day save France at the Congress of Vienna in 1815.
In modern day France, and quite frankly America and other countries as well, the exclusive “parties fines’ consisted of lavish Champagne affairs,  priced at $13,000 for each participant. These soirees were organized by businessmen and corporations all over the world trying to influence the political elite of a particular country, in the case of DSK, the ‘parties fines’ consisted of a roving debauchery extending from Paris to Washington DC.
Of course, no American can be shocked by the fact that sex has been an integral part of our political landscape.  Let’s not forget our most admired President “Slick Willy” Bill Clinton, an American Sex Athlete not quite up to the standards of DSK who admitted to seducing four to five women in one day.
Remember as a psychiatrist,  I can indulge in all kinds of ridiculous DSM diagnoses-sexaholic etc…  (that DSM Psychiatric Manual is a testimony of American Psychiatry Association’s  ‘prostitution’ to Big Pharma)… But I won’t.
I merely write about DSK because in contrast to his past activities , he has been bold enough to step forward on the world stage and explain that he had not committed ‘a crime’.  He admits to ‘political indiscretions’ but not to a ‘crime involving consensual adults’.   In fact, rightfully or not, he has advocated for a “Libertine Party’ in France and in the Ukraine, as well as inspiring French entrepreneurs  to develop an aphrodisiac drink  labeled “DSK”.
In contrast to the DSK case, we have our own little sex scandal in Kennebunk,  Maine where Ms. Alexis Wright, a 29 year old Zumba teacher ran a prostitution racket involving hundreds of “johns”.
[ In the interest of  Full Disclosure, I must admit that I have been a devotee of Zumba Dancing for over six years. Frankly , Zumba is quite exhausting and fun. I don’t how in learning the difficult steps one has any more energy to do anything more than dance.  But back to the blog.]
Apparently, Ms Wright committed a ‘crime’.  What exactly that crime is, I am not certain, since she was ‘providing’ a ‘service’ to men who willingly paid for her ‘services’. What I am really talking about is the fact that New England Puritanism is still alive and will lead to a ‘backlash’.
Hypocrisy and fear instilled by the police and the prosecutors do not make her ability to ‘satisfy’ her ‘johns’ any less valuable’. The notion that young women and run away children would be influenced by this ‘service’ is at best ludicrous, if not outright dangerous. Prostitution is legal in Nevada.  There is more pornography on the internet and more ‘official offers for prostitutes’ in the back pages of the Greenwich Village Voice.  So what’s the problem here? Indiscretion by the elite of Kennebunk , Maine?  The list of names would mean little to me or anyone else, unless it included George Bush Jr,  whom I believe had ‘screwed over this nation’ enough that he had no need for a ‘prostitute’.
In short, let’s take a breather here.  Our country has evolved into a Republic where fifty per cent of all marriages end in divorce.  What that means is that certain societal institutions and customs are not working in the 21st century.  So let’s not beat up on a ‘Zumba’ instructress  for providing  a ‘much needed service’.  If she were to be sentenced,  perhaps she and DSK can teach the Puritan Elites of Maine, New Hampshire and the Northeast , how to enjoy themselves in consensual sex, passion and or love.  It’s a good start.
And one that allows America to enter the 21st century as a mature adult and not some whining, ‘brimstone and hellfire’ puritan hypocrite.
Vive Le Coq!! Thank you DSK.

Nobel Peace Prize for 2012: European Union Wins For Uniting Continent.
In the midst of major economic, political and psychological crises, the EU won a peace prize for having promoted democracy and peace!?!
Thorbjoern Jagland, the Nobel Committee Chairman  announced the following, ” The stabilizing part played by the European Union had helped to transform a once-torn Europe from a continent of war to a continent of peace”.
Well, as far as I am concerned,  that statement pretty much summarizes a narrative replete with lies, distortions and arrogance.
Let us remember that this same committee awarded President Barack Obama in 2009 the Peace Prize for basically being ‘nice to muslims’ and ‘improving the atmosphere for international diplomacy’.  For those of you who remember this particular Peace Prize, then please recall that literally the next day, Obama declared an unnecessary war against ‘Al Qaeda ‘ in Afghanistan. And he certainly demonstrated his proclivity for peace when he, and then DCI Panetta,  spewed forth dozens upon dozens of drones over the penumbra of ‘so-called terrorist areas’ in Pakistan, Afghanistan , Yemen, and the Sudan. These drones killed thousands of innocent men, women and children.  Obama and Panetta called the deaths of these innocent people ‘collateral damage’ and the military  used the ludicrous term ---‘unintended consequences’.  The covert operatives loved Obama despite their public protestations that this President did not understand the DDO.  Nonsense!  Obama has been by proclivity and heritage [mother, maternal grandmother, maternal grandfather—all CIA officers], one of the favorite Presidents of the CIA and our SOF.
Clearly, Obama loves covert actions and ‘collateral damage ‘ more than he loves the Peace Prize.  But Obama’s award of the Peace Prize belies the incredible lies that underlie this fatuous, if not, completely cynical, award.
Let us start with the Alfred Noble,  the Swedish chemist, engineer and armaments manufacturer who donated the money for this award.  Basically he was the Swede who discovered dynamite and manufactured armaments for war. His family and he were in the  armaments  manufacturing business for centuries. The Nobel Family [remember not ‘noble’] produced the major armaments for the Crimean War [1853-1856]. Not satisfied with producing the ineffectiveness of their ‘killing machines’ Nobel and his family went into the business of manufacturing ‘nitroglycerin ‘ and ‘dynamite’, ostensibly for mining purposes.  However,   these  chemicals are still important today in the present day Nobel Companies called Dynamit Nobel and Akzo Nobel in Norway.
So now you have some idea of how the origins of the so-called Peace Prize started---from the manufacturers of ‘killing machines and deadly chemicals’.  No apologies here from the Norwegians or the equally hypocritical Swedes [but this issue of the nefarious Wallenbergs we will discuss at another time] who still remain ‘merchants of death’.
Now why do I call the Norwegians ‘merchants of death’?  First, despite their hypocritical  recognition of the importance of the EU,   every Norwegian refused to enter the EU for fear that their economy would be harmed by interference from Brussels [already a disaster]. Unlike the financially strapped EU countries, Norway is blessed with unlimited oil reserves from the North Sea and, oh yes, it’s a monolithic ethnic group of nine million people with no government debt.  How patronizing of the Nobel committee to praise the EU countries composed of 27 nations and five hundred million people, most of whom can barely make a day’s wages.
But this Norwegian hypocrisy does not stop here, Conveniently,  as times goes by, the Norwegians would like the world to forget the name of their most infamous Vidkun Quisling who seized power in  a Nazi-backed coup d’etat and served as Minister-President from 1942-1945 . The collaborationist government participated willingly or unwillingly in Germany’s Final Solution of the Extermination of six million jews, gentiles, gypsies, homosexuals, Catholics, muslims, and many others.
Thus the Nobel Prize becomes a clear counter point to Norway’s nefarious past and continuing hypocrisy.
But there is unfortunately one more variable that is present in the presentation of the award to the EU and that is Norway’s deliberate distortion of French /German history [remember Norway was Germany’s axis ally] or simple ignorance.
The EU was created by the French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman who had proposed on May 9, 1950 [five years after France had lost WWII] that  France and the Federal Republic Of Germany pool their collective coal and steel resources in a new organization that other European countries could join.
Contrary to Mr Jagland’s disingenuous comments that this was a ‘peace initiative’.  In fact, this French initiative, like all other attempts by France, to control Germany had nothing to do with peace- but everything to do with France trying to reinsert  it’s political and economic pre-eminence in Europe after WWII.  What is important to understand is that France was not very effective in fighting the Germans and had, like Norway,  more collaborators than they had Resistance Fighters.  Unfortunately,  I knew this from firsthand experience after my father having fought in the so –called French Army for six weeks was told to leave and  ‘save  your life’.
So the point to remember is that Schulman wanted to have France as the pre-eminent power that would control the most valuable asset ---the Ruhr Valley coal and steel resources that was the basis of several wars between France in Germany.  A little known fact is that both the Polish and French Armies ‘invaded’ Germany’s Ruhr Valley in 1926-27 in order to seize the resources in a Germany that had been defeated in WWI –again not by France—but by US forces.  So what we had here,  was clear power play on the part of France to grab the German resources in what was then a fragmented Germany.  At that time, Germany had been defeated by the Allies and split up in so many pieces between the allies and Soviets  that the ‘brave French Politicians’ thought they could make pre-emptive move against a future Germany and once again- claim their imaginary grandeur and prowess that General Charles DeGaulle falsely claimed on their behalf while in exile in England.
Forty years later, I was privy to witness a phenomenon that few people would have imagined back in the 1950’s.  Under the leadership of Secretary of State James Baker and Robert Zoellick , the two statesmen unified East and West Germany and in the process tried to make certain that Germany would not present an economic threat to France.  But thanks to French arrogance under President Mitterand  and a citizenry that had very little desire to work, France had found itself not as the economic leader of the EU but as the ‘financial hostage’ of Frankfurt, Germany. The central bank of Germany had effectively outmaneuvered the failed attempts by the French Ministry to contain German industrial might and economic superiority.  And now , all of Europe has to depend on the generosity of one person---Chancellor Angela Merkel,  a PHD physicist from East Germany whose father , a Lutheran Minister,  had enough courage and conviction to move to East Germany in order to dedicate his life to ‘taking down ‘ the Stasi Regime.
In conclusion,  it’s clear to see that Norway should cease from making any awards other than to explain to the world it’s nefarious past as well as the ‘merchants of death’--  Alfred Nobel and his Swedish progeny along with the Wallenberg family.
As for the story of France and it’s attempt to take over EU power, it’s time that France admit to itself what DeGaulle had once said about his countrymen: ”It’s a pity that France belongs to the Frenchmen”.
Remember Lord Acton’s warning: ”Power corrupts. And Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely” .
The Europe Union had nothing to do with preserving peace or maintaining cordial harmony, it was a bold, naked grab for power which failed and became the very destructive instrument of worldwide financial chaos. Thank you Norway!

ARGO:  An Interesting Film on The Iran Hostage Siege And The Dismal Failure of the CIA.
I have always been a fan of Ben Affleck as an actor and as a director of films. I particularly like his second film “Charlestown” in which he both starred and directed.
Argo” allows him to play a well-known fellow Cuban covert operative by the name of Tony Mendez who came up with a very imaginative,  daring scheme to help a dozen US employees to escape Iran during the 1979 Iran Hostage Siege of the American Embassy under President Jimmy Carter.
What I would like to talk about does not concern the quality of the Hollywood with it’s normal variations on the truth or even the veracity what is portrayed in Argo . It was true.
But I want to address in this blog is the incessant need and obsession of the ex-employees to highlight their minor contributions to the solution of major problems ---like “Charlie Wilson’s War".  If one watched that film, one would have thought that the CIA took down the Soviet Regime with RPG’s and that was due to a debauched Congressman and his consort.  Nothing is or was further from the truth. The CIA played a role in the regime change in the Soviet Union as did FSOs , Military Intel Officers, Sec States George Shultz and James Baker.
The point is that the entire Iran Hostage Siege could have been averted if the CIA had been competent.  In fact, the CIA and other intelligence services were so incompetent that I had to find out from my professional personal friends in France, that the French government had been treating the Shah of Iran for several years for the cancer that eventually felled him.
The CIA was also unable to supply enough Farsi speakers in a US Embassy of four hundred employees to cover Iran.  Only eight operatives spoke Farsi…as I have mentioned before.
The CIA was completely oblivious to the fact that the SAVAK , the Iranian Intelligence Bureau brutalizing the Iranians, was completely out of control and the Shah had no influence on SAVAK.
The CIA was completely unable to anticipate not just one siege of the embassy but two different sieges. In fact the first time our embassy was taken over by Islamic  students - our wily Ambassador Sullivan made it look like they were guests of his when in fact he was under house arrest.
This movie,  as well as “Charlie Wilson’s War’ and other Hollywood glorifications of self-aggrandizing ex- CIA employees, are not in conspiracy to cover up past CIA disasters, these films just portray the legitimate part of a narrative that has never been fully explained or examined.  But as long as the CIA and now the SEAL TEAM SIX [ Truth And Valor] glorify their alleged successes with films like the forthcoming “Osama Bin Laden” ‘docudrama fiction’- “ Zero Dark Thirty”, directed by the talented Kathryn Bigelow,  these intelligence and military groups will compromise the legitimacy of their past successes and guarantee the serious compromise of future operations and operatives trying to do their merciless 24/7 jobs serving our country all around the world.
“Argo” and other CIA inspired movies make for interesting even somewhat enlightening entertainment. But the crucial fact is that our CIA has been a serious problem over a thirty year period during which time I worked with them.  In fact, what is not reported anywhere in the film , especially in an Epilogue, is the fact that four thousand CIA HUMINT operatives were summarily dismissed by their collective bosses DNI Admiral Stanley Turner and President Jimmy Carter, ex-nuclear sub engineer.
The point is that our country is now in real trouble of having so many intelligence organizations that in fact more has become less. We have more new organizations that have compromised the quality and distribution of valuable intel all over the community.
As one Army General once said to me, “Our real Weapons of Mass Destruction are the proliferations of Counter Terrorism Centers.”
I happen to agree with that general and more importantly as we evolve into a cyberworld with real concerns of Cyberwar and CyberTerrorism the need for intellectual rigor and discipline and honesty becomes increasingly more imperative. There will be no heroics in a world where electrons can destroy New York City’s  power capacity.  There is no James Bond for that occasion.  Just some ex-hacker who was recruited by our government in order to serve our country in a real war called “Cyber Attack”.
There will be no more room for the Jack Ryans,  James Bonds, or Jason Bournes.
The new covert heroes will be someone whom you will have never heard about or will ever hear about.
Just as it should be in the world of Secrecy Protecting the Republic.
Remember Winston Churchill’s essential words about espionage, “Every nation must hide behind a bodyguard of lies”.
One other point, I used to tell to my covert operatives in -- the CIA, Military , NSA, NRO, State, AID, and USIA ---
“Every spy is a Prince!” Those are the same words that Moses pronounced upon Aaron as he went forth into Canaan to espy the lands afar

Memorandum: Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, Chairman Of the Ruling Justice Development Party [AK Parti].
Subject: Warning! Restrain Turkish Military Intervention and Work With Vladimir Putin
From: US Operative Who Had Worked On Soviet Regime Change.  Also extensive experience on instigating and preventing overseas military coups.

For over thirty years, I have had the good fortune to be both a professional and personal friend of Turkey.  I have great admiration for the Turks.  I am even proud of my centuries old heritage as a direct descendant of the Pecheneg tribes from Mongolia.  Also I have many successful family members who have lived in your beautiful country for over four hundred years.
So as as a ‘friend’ of Turkey and admirer of your incredibly effective tenure of Istanbul and the leader who singlehandedly improved the overall Turkish economy, I would like to offer a word of 'professional’ advice.
In simple terms: Don’t mess with the Russians. And in particular Vladimir Putin.
I give you this warning as someone who has worked against the Soviets and understands the psychological/political dynamics of Vladimir Putin –Ex KGB.
The recent scandal with your forcing down of a Syrian Airline’s plane,  flying from Moscow to Damascus, and publicly accusing  Russia of ferrying military equipment to the ‘rebels’ at best was not smart and at worse, it makes you and your country very vulnerable to Russia retaliation.
From past experience, I have witnessed Putin’s ability to retaliate economically, geopolitically and psychologically. When the Ukraine sought distance from Russia, Putin changed it’s regime. When the Lukashenko, the thug running Belarus, decide to defy Putin, gases prices went up. When the US invaded Afghanistan , Putin charged us money to transport our goods into Kabul and then even allowed us to use his Soviet helicopters because ours could not reach the proper elevation in Kandahar Province.
May I remind you,  Erdogan, that Russia provides nearly two-thirds of Turkey’s gas supplies and provides it with more gas when Iranian exports are diminished.  In short, Putin has you ‘by the neck’ or may I rephrase it to say he has you by the ‘oil and gas pipelines’.
May I also remind you that Putin intends to build it’s 63 billion cubic meter South Stream pipeline through the waters abutting Turkey  right to Europe.
As you can see Turkey is in a delicate financial symbiosis with Russia. But more importantly, I would like to tell you a little about what I know about Putin.
The Turkish Intelligence may not be aware that Putin’s Spymaster father was really a Jewish East German by the name of Marcus Wolfe.  Marcus Wolfe was the premier of spymasters around the world. Even our own intelligence service paid a high compliment to him by never having prosecuted - a Stasi East German spy system that had over one hundred thousand operatives working around the world. Where they are now? I don’t know. But I can assure you that Putin was under Marcus Wolfe’s tutelage for at least eight years and speaks German with an accent as well as he speaks Russian.
His second ‘Spymaster Father’ was  a man I admired and worked against—Andropov --- the brilliant head of the KGB before he died of cancer.
So what you are dealing here is not with just a man called Putin but a collective Gestalt of spycraft that would the be envy of any Ottoman intelligence officer.
The last point that I would like to bring out- I recently returned from a wonderful week of doing business in Istanbul, Turkey and I talked to the all the Bazzarri.  None of the businessmen had one iota of a desire to go to war. They love to do what they do best---sell, haggle, negotiate, tell stories, and make money [dollars always preferable].
In effect, you would not have the backing of the populace of business men behind you. That’s not a good domestic position to be in , considering the fact that Turkey is economically growing by double digits.  If you were to divert that growth,  you would bury yourself into deep domestic political problems which could have been avoided.
Furthermore, the recent arrest of the twenty officers for an ‘alleged’ military coup against you is not conducive to leading a  professional military that has had from it’s inception a deep mistrust of the Islamic State. Remember, in principle the military owes it’s allegiance to it’s brilliant founder Mustafa Kamal, a military officer. So as you send , two hundred  thousand and more soldiers into Syria and around the border, you are in terms of military jargon ‘on a strategic and tactical tightrope’.

Recommendations:
1. Publicly and privately apologize to Putin and make certain this type of outburst or impulsive behavior won’t occur again.
2. Pull back your troops from Syria.
3. Use the Chinese, Russian and French alliance to work out your differences.
4. Respect the US Representatives, especially Ambassador Marc Grossman, whom I know that you know is the best of the best in our American Foreign Service and has had decades of experience in dealing with Turkey.  He,  too, despite being Jewish, is a true friend and ally of Turkey.
In conclusion, thank  you for taking the time to read this blog, if I can be of any help please talk to Ambassador Grossman and he will  know how to contact me.
 Best of luck !!

Memorandum: Army Gen Martin E. Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Subject:  Military Retaliation in Libya For The Deaths of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other heroes
From: Former DAS- Nixon, Ford, Carter, Bush Sr.
OSINT reveals extensive military deployments to the Mediterranean,  Africa and the Middle East.  In specific, ancillary aircraft for SOF operations have been sighted at Tripoli International Airport.  Specifically, these aircrafts include well-known transmutations of the C-130 Hercules.  In particular, the following  SOF support aircraft were spotted : MC-130H, HC130P, H-130N and the AC-130U.
ELINT, SIGINT, and IMINT reveal that the aforementioned aircrafts have been flying out of Souda Air Base on the Akrotiri Peninsula of Crete.  Intel informant revealed once again to CNN [as you know,  Anderson Cooper-well known CIA asset recruited at Yale]  that SOF are in Libya meeting with informants . They are following SOP with Intel Drones and TAC SAT links with SI, TK , ULTRA SECRET designations for IRS [Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance].
Objective: SOF tasked to gather intel on militant networks in Libya.
Since our last meeting at SOCOM, we have been working on the September 11, 2012 U.S Consulate attack in Benghazi retaliatory options to be deployed all over Libya.
As you know,  the AC-130U has been detailed to serve as a backup capacity for any SOF ‘kinetic actions’ in Libya . At the same time, per your instructions, we have deployed gunships, UAV’s and fixed –wings assets from our bases in Italy,  Britain and Germany in order to strike HVT [High Value Targets].   At present we are working in concert with the Libyan Government [whatever remnants are left] as well as our usual cunning CIA operatives [ As you once said, “hopefully Gen Petraeus has them under control and stop them from continuing their ‘Legacy of Ashes”].
At present, we are engaging intel collection for “actionable intelligence” .  Also we are identifying the key personalities involved in the 9/11 attack and their daily patterns of life.  Clearly, we understand that our portfolio includes everything from ‘snatch-and-grab’ to airstrikes.

Major Consequences of Retaliatory Strike:
[1] Blowback—Libyans will resent incursion into the sovereignty of their country. Since the country is already fragmented among many different ethnic tribes [Taurigs, etc.] and the country is literally divided geographically between Tripoli and Benghazi,  we will be accentuating the fragmentation of an already ‘failing state’.
[2] Military Credibility—General, do we want to sacrifice our already tainted military reputation with Admiral McRaven’s brazen announcement of the SEAL TEAM 6, having ‘shot’ Osama Bin Laden.  Our actions will only feed into the rampant conspiratorial theories that our US military created, or at least abetted the “stand down, ‘ on September 11, 2001
[3] Further exposure of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Lies and Incompetence—Do we, in the military, want to pay the price for the Sec State’s lies and ineptitude in the handling of the 9/11 Benghazi episode,  calling it ’spontaneous’?? Is it worth the lives of our brave men and women to CYA the Sec State who has by all informed sources a history of ‘major prevarications’ and ‘distortions’.
Side Note: Her initial involvement as Senator in the 9/11 is still in question, let alone, her involvement in this 9/11 episode compounds exponentially the burden of proof that she does not lie habitually.  One might say that she, like her husband, are cursed with “ the Liar’s bend”. Without being too technical,  one might say that they are both ‘sociopaths’ who have made a career of lying and then using our brave military to cover up those lies. But that is just a hypothesis. Take it or leave it!
[4] Military Retaliation Will Confuse the Investigation: This is an important point.  Ambassador Thomas Pickering is a very competent FSO who has been our Ambassador in Israel [during the idiot Shamir’s tenure –former Mossad operative who could not make a living in business], the United Nations as well as Under Secretary of State.  He is articulate, thorough and in my opinion , one of the best FSOs I have ever had the pleasure to serve.  He is in charge of the investigation,  let him find out what he needs to find out with our help if needed. But, if we apprehend or kill anyone,  this action will cloud the very question of why was our Ambassador Stevens allowed to remain in danger and why was the US Embassy devoid of our usual ‘RSOs’ [Regional Security Officers].  This is really a matter for the State Department to handle and not our brave military warriors.  Suffice it to say, we have not done all that well in Iraq and Afghanistan.  And one more failure on our behalf, whether intentional or not, will cost us our prestige, many deaths and a reputation for defeat and disaster as opposed to relief and resistance
Remember, in neither Iraq nor Afghanistan, were the American citizenry behind us.  So we had two wars, initiated by ‘chickenhawks’ without the support of a country.  We will be in same position this time around.  No one will believe what we will say or whomever we capture.  Even our asset Anderson Cooper, when he is given special access to our information, is not credible any more.  I never thought this narcissistic, childish , self-indulgent  correspondent was credible to begin with.  But remember,  General , he did receive special treatment when the CIA gave him the Ambassador’s personal notes.
In conclusion,  I along with many of my colleagues who have been involved in the deaths of several ambassadors,  feel a great remorse for their deaths, but in the retrospect, I and other FSOs and intel operatives were extremely grateful that the US did not retaliate for any of our colleagues deaths.
Again let Sec State Hillary Clinton,  account for her failures. In any case, this will stop her ascendancy to the Presidency.

Spain’s Road to Self-Destruction: Refusing Catalonia Independence
I have reported in my previous blogs that Spain’s corrupt central government was on the road to both fiscal and political self-destruction.
As predicted on October 10, 2012 -Spain’s corrupt politicians in the lower house of parliament voted down a motion to allow Catalonia to hold a referendum on independence. The motion was forwarded by the Catalan ERC Party, but it was voted down by both conservative and the opposition socialists.  At this point in time, more than half of the Catalonians want independence.
So as I have described in my previous blogs, what you my readers will witness in the next few weeks is the beginning of riots, fire fights, police confrontations and eventual full scale rebellion by the Catalonians and other supporters of regional independence including the Basque , Navarre, Andalusia and Seville as well as many others  which are tired of supporting a corrupt, fiscally irresponsible government centralized in Madrid.
As I have reiterated in the past,  Madrid has absolutely no legitimacy other than the control of police and paramilitary units which, in my opinion,  should learn the lessons of the Spanish Civil War----if you kill your countrymen for a false ideology , you become “war criminals”.  And that will mean that the security arm of the state can no longer hide behind the false flag of Spanish patriotism and “love of country”.  Those statements have been long thrown into the garbage bin of historical fiction.
Fight On Catalonia!!! You have the support of the Freedom Fighters around the world.
